Wild flowers + bird watching

Winter & Spring are the best times to observe the wonderful wildflowers in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. From around May through to August the heath banksias are in bloom with nectar laden blossoms that attract honeyeaters & other native birds.

Winter whale watching

Barrenjoey Head (on the other side of Pittwater, but still in the park) is an excellent spot for whale watching. Take the Barrenjoey Lighthouse Walk between May and August or celebrate International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend in August.
